We fund a network of expert research nurses to help save blood cancer patients' lives

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 14th October I will be running the Great Birmingham Half Marathon to help raise money for Cure Leukaemia.

Cure Leukaemia offer real hope to patients with currently incurable forms of blood cancer via potentially life-saving treatments. Every year in the UK, 14,000 people die from this cruel disease but the time is now for curing blood cancer. Help save lives and eradicate blood cancer within 25 years.

Your donation will go towards:

  • Supporting a pioneering world leading Therapy Accelerations Laboratory at the University of Oxford to develop simple tests to personalize cancer treatment, identifying the best therapies for individual blood cancer patients that can be delivered through UK-wide clinical trial networks.

  • Directly providing employment for specialist research staff required to facilitate these trials, and contribute to the purchasing of additional specialist equipment.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
