Me and my nan have always been close, her cooking certainly helped, but when she passed late 2013, she left a hole in so many people's lives. She's touched  many people throughout her life and will never be forgotten. She died due to a heart problem where less than half her heart worked. It stopped her from driving, cycling, swimming, but it didn't stop her from living and loving. She lived longer than doctors had anticipated and she got to see her grandchildren and even her great grandchild come into this world. As mentioned before, her cooking was to die for...excuse the pun, but my nan would find that funny you see, for she had a good sense of humour...for a German that is. 

Unfortunately my nan was diagnosed "too late" and there were too many younger patients who needed the hearts. I believe that with enough funding towards Heart Foundations, we can come up with alternatives to Heart transplants for those who are "too old" to be given one, and invent more efficient treatments. More and more patients worldwide can benefit from this and live longer to see the ones they love grow up and do special things themselves. 

I am now 16 and am at the minimum age where i am allowed to do a skydive. But i wanted to make this special, make it have a meaning behind it, something that wouldn't let me back down from jumping out of that plane. So therefore, I decided to do a sponsored skydive in aid of the British Heart Foundation. I want other people to be able to see their grandchildren and even great grandchildren. For them to be able to live the lives that they deserve. No loved one should be taken away from us when we have the technology to change things. We can change things even with the smallest donation. It all counts. We all count.
