Sail to Jack's Harbours · 12 June 2010
My father, Jack Tanner loved sailing and always chose to live by the sea. He lived in Southampton, Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight and enjoyed taking his family sailing in the Solent. He would have been ninety on June 13th this year, but he died ten years ago after several years with Alzheimer's disease. During that time he was particularly helped by a volunteer visitor from MIND and so three generations of his family are gathering together on that date to raise money for the charity MIND by taking part in a sponsored sail to the harbours that he often visited in the Solent.
