Fundraising for Breast Cancer Care
For those of you who didn't know...
At the end of last year I had a scare when a little lump decided to form in my right breast. I was urged to go and check it out and had to go to the breast cancer clinic for a biopsy. Needless to say I was terrified at the prospect of getting cancer. Regardless of the fact that male breast cancer is very rare and only one in a thousand men will ever be diagnosed with breast cancer; It was still a very scary experience - despite the odds being incredibly low.
Fortunately I was lucky and result of the biopsy was benign. However for thousands of people every year the news isn't good. More than 50,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer every year. That's 1 in every 8. I might have been ok - but I know people who have lost loved ones and friends and I (with your help) have the opportunity to help do something about it.
This is why I have this page. This year I am proud to have been selected to represent the team that is raising money for Breast Cancer Care. My very first UK Forums All-Star Ice Hockey weekend.
Please help me reach my goal and support me and my team mates as we go and do battle on the rink so that Breast Cancer Care can go and do battle in the labs and hospitals.
On behalf of all the Breast Cancer Hockey team, thank you for helping us to start STICKING IT TO CANCER!
