For all too many children in countless developing countries, this is a reality. Children and adults with an un-repaired cleft condition live with unimaginable emotional and physical suffering; yet a surgery can take as few as 45 minutes to complete - since 1982 they have provided over 240,000 free surgeries to those born with a cleft lip or cleft palate and each year we treat over 16,000 people. With more than three decades of expertise, Operation Smile creates solutions that deliver free surgery to people where it’s needed most.

J-Hope spreads joy and smiles wherever he goes. He has said he wants to be a piece of peace to people via his music and other talents. I can't think of a better way to honour Hobi than to help people to smile for the first time in their lives, people who would otherwise not be able to express their joy fully through a smile, in his name. 아직도 많이 아이들이 구순구개열을 가지고 태어납니다.  단 45분 정도밖에 걸리지 않는 간단한 수술로 교정될 수 있음에도, 개발도상국의 열악한 환경 속 많은 이들이 수술받지 못한 채로 정신적 육체적 고통을 받으며 살아가고 있습니다. 영국의 "Operation Smile" 단체는 1982년부터 24만 건의 구순구개열 재건 수술을 무료로 제공했고, 현재도 매년 약 6,000명을 치료하고 있습니다. 이렇게 30년 이상의 경험과 전문성을 갖춘 "Operation Smile"은  가장 필요로 사람들을 위해 무료로 수술을 제공하고 있습니다.

제이홉은 그가 가는 곳마다 기쁨와 미소를 전해줍니다. 그는 그의 음악과 그가 가진 재능을 통해 사람들에게 평화의 한 부분(piece of peace)이 되고 싶다고 말했었죠. 장애로 인해 그동안 미소로써 마음껏 기쁨을 표현할 수 없었던 이들에게, 생애처음으로 미소를 지을 수 있도록 도와주는 것만큼 호비 이름을 빛낼 수있는 좋은 방법은 없을 거 같아, 이렇게 제이홉 이름으로 모금을 하게 되었습니다. 아주 작은 정성이라도 모두 소중합니다. 같이 참여해주세요.
