Jo's 24 Hour Rounders World Record Attempt page

Cancer charities are very close to my heart, and it's been over 2 years since my 'Jump for Jen' skydive in Australia in April 2014. Which I was very proud to have raised over £5,500 for Cancer Research UK, to leap out of a plane in memory of my Mum!
So...every penny counts & it's time to take on another challenge, this time in support of Macmillan Cancer Support. I'll be one of thirty playing rounders non-stop for 24 hours & hoping to make a world record with our team from work!
I'm personally doing this in memory of my wonderful Mum who I lost to lung cancer in January 2014, my lovely Nan 10 years ago & our adorable labradoodle Milly last year. Also, to celebrate my brave Dad winning his battle against lung cancer last year.
Unfortunately I was unable to get any nursing support at home for my incredibly brave beautiful Mum, I had to do it myself with the love & support of my Dad & Brother. More funds need to be raised to help make others last days as comfortable & peaceful as possible. It's important for me to be positive & I hope the money raised will go in some way to help others & their families.
Not sure how I'll stay awake for 24 hours yet - but I will do it! Thank you very much for your support, it means a lot! Jo xx
