Story
PC's Nicola Hughes and Fiona Bruce of Greater Manchester Police went to work on the morning of Tuesday 18th September 2012, and never came home. They were callously murdered in the line of duty in what was a pre-meditated and cowardly attack.
In an instant, lives were changed forever. Feelings of shock, horror, anger, sadness and pain have been harnessed and channeled into a power of good. Bryn Hughes has set up the PC Nicola Hughes Memorial Fund in memory of his daughter with an aim to raise as much money possible for the following charities :
North West Police Benevolent Fund
Care of Police Survivors
Victim Support
Run to Remember is our chance to help. More than 2000 police officers from across the country are each running 250 miles in 125 days in support of our fallen colleagues, and the good work ongoing. I am one of these number.
Together we will cover more than 500,000 miles through the long winter months. Please support us and give whatever you can. Don't forget about the gift aid, the Govt. will then add 25% on to your donation absolutely FREE.
