Sponsored Row from the Lea to Henley - 3 days and 2 boats arriving in Henley while Henley Royal is in full swing 4th July.
The Lea ladies rowing squad are planning an ambitious row from our boathouse in Clapton over the course of three days to arrive at Henley on Thames. Over 100km will take our boats through plenty of locks, through central London battling tides, past Twickenham, Hampton Court , through Maidenhead arriving at Henley Royal Regatta the morning 4th July, to paddle triumphantly down the course!

And the reason we’re doing this? We need to raise money for the clubs - £1 million in 12 month - so major building works can be completed and Lea Rowing Club can secure a new lease. Without this money the repairs won’t be completed and the club will be under threat of closure.
Your donation will help me keep pushing as my limbs and back start to hurt. Having only rowed for about 30 minutes solid at one time, I will definitely need all the motivation I can get.
