Salaam Aleykum (peace be upon you)

I will be cycling from Leicester 2 Edinburgh on the 16th of August to raise money for Syria and Gaza(Palestine) with the help of Islamic Relief. We hope to raise funds to help our brothers and sisters who are suffering with lack of food, water, clothing and shelter, as well as medical supplies. 

With violence escalating in the Gaza Strip and also in Syria, the lives of innocent men, women and children are being destroyed every minute. Every Donation can help alleviate the suffering and make a positive difference. May Allah grant them patience and victory against their opressors. Ameen

 Around 74 per cent of families require assistance from government or humanitarian organizations such as Islamic Relief. An average family spends half of its income on food. In just one year, deepening poverty has pushed a further seven per cent of families into food insecurity. In Gaza today, around 540,000 people cannot afford to buy the basic food that they need.
