8 members of the Surrey Police Ice Hockey Team (Karim Tayar, Glyn Leighton, Dean Leighton, Tom Brown, Dale Hathaway, Jason Dean, Karl Loveday, Jay McLeod, and, Alex von Haselberg-Palyvou) are bravely taking on the 26.2 miles of the London Marathon 2012, dressed in full ice hockey kit (except the skates of course!!). They will be supported by Gavin Stephens and Kelly Tayar who will be running the distance dressed in referee gear.

This is an enormous, challenge, not just with the extra weight of the kit, but also the marathon team have set a target of raising £20,000 for Crimestoppers. So we are asking for your generous support to reach this target and play your part in ensuring the longevity of Crimestoppers and thus safer streets for us all to live in.
