Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I've done it!
With the benefit of glorious weather I got round in 3 hours and 49 minutes which achieved my personal target AND beat the family target Janet set at London last year.... now what comes next?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So why on earth have I chosen to run the Brighton Marathon. First and foremost it's for me - to prove I can. Secondly, once Janet completed the London Marathon last year I really had no choice but to try and go faster :-)
Having decided to take on the challenge of the Marathon I've had to commit myself to some serious training and then give some thought to raising some money. After much thought I've decided to run to support the Alzheimer's Society. It's not something I'd given much thought to until a relative of mine began to suffer the effects and I've seen the impact on the rest of the family. With the advances in medicine to cure other illnesses it's a sad fact that many of us are likely to have our lives or the lives of ones we love impacted... so please give generously to support the Alzheimer's Society's work and I'll do my bit on the 18th of April.
