London Marathon 2019 · 28 April 2019 ·
Addie was such a special young girl who was in my form for 4 years. Every day she showed me her brave and courageous spirit and her enthusiastic and passionate approach to life.
I ran a half marathon in aid of her following her diagnosis in March 2017 and seeing her beaming face and cheers throughout the race really spurred me on. It is devastating to think that she won't be there to cheer me on this time round, but with every training run and milestone reached, I remember why I'm doing this and think of her. I remember finishing my first half and thinking I can never double that so it's going to be a struggle.
