On the 8th May 2017, with no prior complications,
Iain's Niece, Beatrice Emilia, passed away a few hours after birth. 

Iain and his Brother Andrew, along with 100 strong Team Bea runners, will be paying tribute to beautiful Beatrice and support her parents, Georgia and Dom, who have worked tirelessly to raise money for Tommys, a Charity that funds and undertakes groundbreaking research into miscarriage, still-birth and neonatal death.

Growing up we are protected from the issues of
conceiving and the potential complications of giving birth but as adults its a reality we face too often and which affects so many of the people we love. 

With research into the causes and prevention of pregnancy complications that lead to miscarriage, prematurity and stillbirth Tommys are  ensuring more pregnancies have a happy ending.

• £100 can pay for a blood pressure monitor to track abnormal heart rhythms, weak pulse, high and low blood pressure, and more.
• £500 helps fund a Tommy’s midwife on our Pregnancy Line supporting parents and giving specialist pregnancy advice.
• £1000 could fund an ultrasound scanner for two weeks, helping Tommy’s doctors to identify babies who aren’t growing properly.
• £10K Could fund a PhD project to help prevent preterm labour. 55,000 babies are born prematurely every year in the UK
