We are a mountain rescue team to serve the local community

Story

On 26th July myself, Ian Atherton and Craig Atherton will be attempting the national 3 peaks. The 3 highest peaks in Scotland Ben Nevis , England Scafell, Wales Snowdon.

Along with Dan our support driver we plan to complete the challenge in 24 hours.

We are raising money for Oldham Mountain Rescue Team.

OMRT is a emergency service team made up totally of volunteers to provide help to people in wild and remote places.

The annual running cost of OMRT is around 40000 pounds.

The team is also needing to replace there control vehicle which was acquired 2nd hand 10 years ago.
Although it has served the team well it doesn’t meet the ongoing needs of the team. A new control vehicle will cost 55-60k.

The team receives no formal funding and survives completely on donations from the general public, local organisations and businesses.
