We are the IBC 2 IBC Riders for 2011 taking on this once in a lifetime challenge on behalf of Vision Charity. We are cycling 300 miles in 24 hours (23 hours taking into account the time difference) to help change the lives of blind and visually impaired children.
This is Vision Charities new fundraising event for 2011 which will see a group of cyclists depart from the offices of IBC, London and arrive at the IBC Show at the RAI in Amsterdam within 24 hours.
Set around IBC 2011, the premier event for entertainment and news broadcasters worldwide, the ride will commence on Saturday 3rd September.
Hoping to raise £100,000, this 24 hour cycle challenge was founded by Ciaran Doran of Harris Corporation, who will be leading his team from the broadcasting industry who have decided that cycling is a better option than flying to IBC 2011.

How your money will be used:
“Vision (www.visioncharity.co.uk) aims to enable Blind and visually impaired children to fully contribute to society. We fund projects throughout the UK providing equipment, activities & skills to broaden their horizons and engage with the community. To date, Vision has raised in excess of £3m for equipment, activities and research to change the lives of Blind & VI children and their carers. Our donations benefit organisations throughout the UK and recently in Sierra Leone & Sri Lanka. Vision’s latest initiative is a sports legacy fund, which will enable Blind & VI children and young adults to access sport throughout the UK. We aim to increase awareness of the challenges and raise funds to enable our children to overcome the obstacles that currently prevent them from participating. Vision believes strongly that sport is a great vehicle for change. It encourages team building, problem solving, social awareness and many other attributes that will improve the chance for our children and young people to fully contribute to society and the world around them
