Story
Please support the joint IAHV and Art of Living Foundation initiative for humanitarian relief in Pakistan . We have a local team on the ground in Pakistan who are already involved in providing food and assisting with medical camps in the affected area of Khairpur in Sindh and Kyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Funds are requested now to support our initiative to assist in the all important rehabilitation phase, with trauma relief in the camps and also support for individuals and families, following the return to their home areas after the flood waters have receded.
The project plans to reach into the local communities with our highly successful Youth Leadership Training and Trauma Relief programmes to train motivated young people in the basic skills for supporting their communities to return to normal.
The Pakistan Team wish to commence the training of the first 30 youth volunteers within the next 6 weeks, and to increase this number to 200 over the next 12 months and to set up 20 mobile centres to travel in to the remote affected areas. The
The extent to which this can be successful depends on the funds raised. Please help generously with this initiative.
100% of funds received by IAHV UK will go direct to the project in Pakistan without deductions. There the money will go to the project with only the very minimum of deductions for overheads and organisational administrative expenses. Our work is essentially carried out by volunteers. The trained youth will receive a modest stipend for the work done but that in itself will go to assist in the relief of poverty and support of the stricken communities. You can feel confident therefore that our donation will have the maximum effect on the ground to benefit those in need.
