Story
It's the day after the race - and I'm happy to report that I am injury free aside from a little sunburn! It was a scorcher of a day in Bath, almost too hot for running, but I still managed to shave 8 minutes off my last half marathon time, passing the finish line at a perfectly respectable 1 hour and 42 minutes. Which put me in 1456th position out of 12,000 runners. I was the first girl back from the Penny Brohn Cancer Care runners team and strolled to the PB tent to be greeted by a very proud mum and good friend Phil Putnam who'd come up to support me. We celebrated in style at Bath Spa soon after to soak in the rooftop pool and sooth my achy muscles.
I hope you'll to show your support by donating here online, as there's still a few weeks to help this fantastic cause - everyone is affected by cancer in different ways but PB Cancer Care help people deal with cancer so they're able to live their lives as positively as possible after medical treatment.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please show your support and help me raise more money for Penny Brohn Cancer Care, the charity that has given my mum and thousands of other cancer sufferers amazing emotional and therapeutic support before, during and after invasive cancer treatment.
Thank you so much!
