Story
Welcome and thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.
I'm taking part in one of the West Country's most exciting and thrilling charity challenges of the year; and as it is doing something I've never done before, and from the roof of one of Taunton's tallest buildings, I'm a little bit nervous!
But as it will benefit three really great charities - those affected by the recent floods on the Somerset levels and moors; those living with Autism; and some of Somerset's most disadvantaged children, I'll give it a go and invite you to support me.
The County Hall Charity Abseil, organised by Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue with Somerset County Council, takes place from the roof of Somerset County Council's tallest building; the seven storey C-Block - I will be going down at 11 am on Thursday 3 April .*
All funds raised will be equally divided between Somerset Community Foundation (SCF) raising vital funds for flood affected Somerset communities, the National Autistic Society (NAS) and Somerset Trust for Arts & Recreation (STAR) – a local charity that provides little extras for disadvantaged children.
A minimum sponsorship fee of £50 is required, but let's nudge that!
Please note Just Giving directs all sponsorship money to SCF but the money raised will be shared amongst the three charities and forwarded as appropriate.
If you can, please support me and these great charities, you can come along on the day, and / or sponsor me using this site.
Thank you!
* if weather stops us on the 3rd we have backup dates! :-0
