I have been a trustee for Wantage Counselling Service for many years now and this is my last year in this role.  I therefore wanted to do something that is a little bit different this year to raise funds for the charity.       The money raised will go towards assisting those who cannot afford the full cost of their weekly counselling sessions.    WCS offers these sessions at an affordable rate for clients, raising funds to make up the shortfall.   We have managed to do this for over 30 years now and I am passionate about wanting this to continue into the foreseeable future.   Hence I am attempting to raise a good sum of money with this abseil.  I have never abseiled down anything this high before, and as the date gets nearer the reality of that height is dawning!!
