I am running the Great Manchester Run as part of the University of Manchester's fundraising efforts this year - they have obtained a number of places to allow people to run for charity.

Having lost my Nan following a stroke earlier this year and having a number of friends that have been affected one way or another by strokes, I decided to take this opportunity to raise money for much needed research into this area.

I have run a few 10k's already so I am aiming for a PB, and hopefully a sub-60 time!
