Story
Holy crap I’m cycling from HANOI to HO CHI MINH. It’s freakin' far (approx 2000km) and it’s freakin’ hot. Me and a group of 19 other pedal heads are embarking on this ludicrous ride, as well as old faithfuls sweat, blood and tears. I’ve never done a Duke of Edinburgh or run a marathon, or all that much cycling really. My biking experience mainly consists of tidy cycle paths and pushing my bike up inclines, so this will be the biggest challenge me and my ass has ever taken; I'm nervous to say the least.
I’m super excited to get on me bike and clearly this is an excellent opportunity for me to see the country(’s roads) and to burn off the post-Brexit weight; but what’s most important is the money that we are able to raise. Any money that you can donate will go straight to the healthcare and education of children who are in desperate need. The ride is completely self-funded, so none of this, you pay me to do a super fun skydive and I’ll see what’s left for charity, malarky, 100% of donations will go directly to where it is most needed and seriously make an impact to vulnerable lives. I know there are so many good causes vying for attention but any donation small or smaller is totally amazing. As with everything in life, people want more bang for their buck, more pow for their pound, more ding for their dong (VND) and asking you to donate your hard-earned cash in the current climate (#plummetingpound) is a almost as much as a challenge as the cycle ride itself. But please help keep me and my butt super motivated by supporting the charities!
The H2H ride raises funds for five kickass charities that work to bring health care and education to Vietnam's most underprivileged children- Saigon Children's Charity, The Children’s Initiative, KOTO, Live and Give, and ILACN. For more details of what each charity does (and what we’re supporting) visit our charity page on the H2H website: www.h2hcharityride.org/charities/
