As many of you know, I have made the crazy decision to cycle from Leeds to Paris in June this year (13th - 18th). Although it seems like a crazy thing to be doing (and it probably is!), it's all for an extremely worthwhile cause.

I am raising money for Save the Children; a great charity which aims to give children worldwide a better future. It does this by helping to save lives, fighting for their rights, and helping millions of children to fulfil their potential. In 2012 alone, the lives of over 10 million children were changed for the better - an incredible acheivement. These children face challenges everyday and so 7 days of cycling is the least we can do to show our support. As a team we are aiming to raise more than £10,000 and every penny donated by you will go straight to the charity as we will be funding the trip ourselves. (accommodation, ferry, kit, food etc). I will be doing the cycle with 40 other members from Leeds Uni RAG and we will be cycling over 400 miles in 6 days!! It will be extremely challenging as I've never done anything like this before but as you all know I love my sport and I'm always up for a challenge. I will be doing a lot of training in the months leading up to the trip and will hopefully be as prepared as i can be when it comes to the real thing. It may not be the Tour de France (which I keep accidentally saying - 'de' and 'to' are easily confused!) but it will still be a huge challenge.
