Hafsah Khan is raising money for As-Suffa Trust
Story
Salaam everyone!
On Saturday 17th November, I will be hiking up Cadair Idris, Snowdonia to raise money for Muslim Aid's East Africa Emergency Appeal with As-Suffa Trust.
The majority of the money will be going to Somalia, which has been afflicted with severe drought and famine in recent years. With this, rising food prices and violent conflict millions of people are literally starving to death.
- In Somalia, more than 6 million people, 50% of the population, are in urgent need of food assistance.
- Widespread famine is threatening to take hold on a scale not experienced for years.
- Parts of the Somali population remain isolated and at further risk as humanitarian assistance struggles to reach them.
- Children are weak, tired and in pain without food and clean, safe water.
