My son Mehdi, 7, and I will be walking 10K on 19th May, hoping to raise some much needed funds for Notre Dame Refugee Centre, a charity close to my heart where I volunteered a couple of years ago.

Notre Dame Refugee Centre works with asylum seekers and refugees so that they can play a full role in society and achieve a better quality of life. The Centre provides food and clothes to those people waiting for legal status after having left their country torn by war and violence. It offers social advice, medical checks, English and computer classes - and more importantly some human interaction and warmth to families and individuals far from home.
