I am raising funds to help develop Didsbury Sports ground, so that a greater number of children and adults can enjoy the facilties there. The issue is that the environmental agency has decided that it needs to raise the flood levels by another eight feet, and the current facilities will not be able to sustain this level of flooding, therefore it needs to be completely redeveloped at a large cost.

I have been fortunate enough to enjoy the facilties there for the last 19 years, and want to give something back to the local community, hence I have agreed to do this rather daunting challenge with 9 other fundraisers. This development will ensure that an increased number of sports will be available to more children and adults both now and in the future and that future generations will have the same opportunities as we have had. We also hope that families and supporters will benefit from the new facilities and future social events.

I know times are tight and that you are probably inundated by requests for support every day, but I would be extremely grateful for anything that you can give.
