My Mum has suffered from ME for over 20 years which has been the majority of my childhood and adult life. ME is a debilitating disease  which causes extreme fatigue and muscle weakness meaning everyday tasks and mobility are a struggle. As a result of this Mum also suffers from falls and black outs, has daily care, has to walk with a stick and uses a wheelchair. 

On 14th May myself and husband Chris will be walking the coast line of Mersea Island to raise awareness for the charity Invest in ME as part of the Walk for ME campaign. The aim of the campaign is to do an activity that the person you're supporting would like to be able to do if they could. Mum has recently moved to Mersea Island to be closer to us so we thought it fitting to explore the island for her.
