Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On Valentine's day 2013 our collegue, 25 year old Maintenance Gas Operative, Steven Higgins, was involved in a non blameworthy road traffic collision while working for NGN's Maintenance team in Cumbria.

A BMW caused a head on collision with another van and Steven suffered serious injuries as a result.  He was flown from the scene to the Critical Care Unit at the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough by the Great North Air Ambulance Service.

The challenge will see Howard Forster and team embark on some 10-aside rugby action at the world famous Melrose 7's tournament before embarking on a three day 90 mile treck from Scotland to Carlisle.  All money raised will help to support the two organisations who were instrumental to Steven's early recovery.
