Our Story
Once upon a time there lived six little princesses. One day they were gazing out over the turrets of their tumbledown castle, a bit bored with such frivolities as practicing their spells, growing their hair and eating cake.
“What’s that big thing over there” said Princess Ellen idly, pointing to the unruly hills that scattered themselves over the dark landscape beyond. Princess Ellen was the most inquisitive of all the princesses.
“It’s called a mountain, wally” said Princess Angie, the cleverest of them all.
“Maybe there’s a magical kingdom at the top” gasped Princess Dee, the most romantic of them all.
“It’s too high for us to ever find out” said Princess Lucy, the wisest of them all.
“I bet I can climb to the top” said Princess Catherine, the bravest of them all.
“Ribbit” said Princess Sioned, who’d been turned into a frog during spell practice earlier.
As they gazed in wonder at the wild mountain ahead of them, a scruffy piece of paper fluttered out of the sky towards them.
“It’s a map, it’s a map” shouted Princess Ellen wildly.
“It shows three GIANT mountains across the land” exclaimed Princess Lucy “with treasure at the end!”
“Wah! Let’s go!” they all screeched, and ribbited, at once.
And so it was that the heady promise of adventure threw itself at their feet, and the storm of a challenge whipped the air around them. There was no going back now………
3 different countries, 3 of the highest mountains, 3 rugged National Parks, 10,000 feet of uphill ascent, 450 gruelling miles to travel….
