Gill's page

Gill was first diagnosed in June 2015, two weeks after our son Conor was born. Last year Gill had chemotherapy followed by surgery and we were hopeful that she had beaten this terrible disease.
Unfortunately, the results of a routine scan delivered in June 2016 revealed the cancer was back. Gill was placed on a new immunotherapy trial through the Beatson in Glasgow. However, this didn’t have the desired effect on the illness, which quickly took hold and we lost our beautiful Gillian on Monday, September 26th, 2016.
Throughout, Gill faced the illness with much dignity and courage but we have lost a loving wife, mummy, sister, aunty, daughter-in-law, sister-in law and friend and our hearts are aching.
We are determined Gill's passing will not be in vain and are committed to keeping Gill's memory alive.
We are raising money for Cancer Research UK to provide funds so that further research can be carried out on treatments and therapies in the hope that fewer families have to experience the heartache we are experiencing.
Any donation you can make in memory of Gill will be gratefully received.
