Ace Africa believes in building sustainable futures for children and their communities in rural Tanzania and Kenya. We do this through improved food and economic security, health, well-being and rights awareness.

Story

Thanks for visiting this page. Please ignore the event title - I did a full Marathon in the New Forest in Sept 2010 and I'm about to do the London Marathon. So, come on... help me get to my target! Here are 5 good reasons for you to donate:

1. On 17th April 2011 I will be running 26.22 miles to raise money for a project set up by ACE, which will contribute directly to the future of a very vulnerable group of children by giving them an education.

2. ACE works in Kenya and Tanzania to reduce the impact of HIV/AIDS on the lives of the millions of Orphans and Vulnerable Children in some of the poorest parts of Africa. Please follow this link to find out more: http://www.ace-africa.org/

3. This project is close to my heart: it has been set up in memory of a young woman called Rosie Dwyer who was a family friend and who died of septicaemia in 2008, aged 19. On the ACE website there's more about Rosie & the project.

4. Once you donate, JustGiving will send your money directly to ACE and reclaim Gift Aid on every eligible donation.

5. I am going to run my socks off, knowing that every pound I raise will go to someone who needs it, and thinking to myself that every step I take will be for Rosie and her family.

                                 THANK YOU SO MUCH...
