Story
Hello, Thanks for visiting my page,
I've joined together with a few friends to raise money for this years Cameroon Catalyst project, which is the design and construction of improved houses for two nurses in the village of Bambouti, Cameroon.
The focus of these houses is on improved structure and health through design, with the target of making design drawings that include details such as the fitting of mosquito nets to window frames, how and why to cement floors to improve cleaning and reduce bacterial infections, making ventilated improved pit latrines, using rainwater harvesting off tin roofs and improved thatching techniques. By doing so, the hope is that these improvements will be replicable and available to the wider community, improving the health of a lot of people for a just little, working closely with local people.
One of the ways we're fundraising is through a sponsored swim on the 30th May, where we hope to average 200 lengths (5k) per person, and any donations would be greatly appreciated, even if you take it as 1 pence per length it will go a long way, and as we are running the project we can ensure that every penny raised goes directly to the project. So thanks for taking the time to visit and thanks for your donations.
