Gina's Wobbleberry Challenge

Wobbleberry Challenge · 26 October 2017
Please help me raise money for 'Hannah's Willberry Wonder Pony Charity'. The charity was set up by Hannah to raise money for research into bone cancer (specifically Osteosarcoma). To encourage you to help me, I shall have a go at Eventing (BE 80). For those of you who aren't aware of what this is.......
What's involved in a BE80(T) class?
Dressage
Combinations first ride a BE90 level dressage test of approximately four and a half minutes (I have to remember the test off by heart...)
Show jumping
The show jumping phase is next and the course will be built to be encouraging and flowing with between seven and ten numbered obstacles including one double combination and at least three spreads (I have to remember the course....)
Cross Country
The final phase is the cross country and the course will again be designed to be encouraging and will include water (run in and out) and straightforward combinations (OMGOMGOMGOMG)
All fences will be to BE specifications and are measured as follows;
Course Length - 1600 – 2800m
Speed - 435mpm
Jumping Efforts - 18 – 25
Max Height - 0.80m
Max Top Spread - 0.90m
Max Base Spread - 1.25m
Max Spread (no height i.e. ditch) - 1.00m
Max Height Fence with Drop - 1.20m
Max Depth of water - 0.20m
Not at all scary (???) Obviously I will need a horse, a lot of training and practise. Kind friends have offered the use of a beautiful horse (see above) and hopefully, their support and guidance. I will do my best to complete the challenge during the 2018 Eventing season.
