Story
I am raising money for Alzheimers Society in memory of my Grandma. You may remember I took part in a skydive a few years ago and I thought it was time I did something else abit more adventurous!
My dear Grandma passed away in 2012 after Alzheimers took over for just over 8 years.
Alzheimers Society supports people to live well with dementia today and funds research a cure for tomorrow. One in 3 people over 65 will die with dementia. There are currently over 800,000 people with dementia in the UK and this will rise to over 1 million by 2021. I want to help fund research into the cause, one day it could be me, you, anybody we love.
£250 could pay for 8 people with dementia and their carers to enjoy one session of singing for the brain session.
£500 could pay for 300 of their popular carer's handbooks.
£1000 could mean 80 callers getting the expert advice and support they need.
£2420 could pay for 2 people with dementia and their partners/carers attend weekly sessions of a Dementia Cafe for a year
plus more!
All donations are greatly received.
