Story
Breast Cancer Care’s Pink Ribbonwalk is an event that takes place in 4 countryside locations each year where men and women walk a total of either 10 or 20 miles to raise money for the Breast Cancer care charity. Since 2005 these walks have raised £4.5 million however with more and more people being diagnosed with breast cancer each year in the UK sponsorhip for thies events are needed to ensure that Breast Cancer Care are there to support each and every person who faces a breast cancer diagnosis, along with their friends and family.
For this purpose I have signed up to do a 20 mile walk at Harewood House in Leeds on 5th June 2010. I need to raise a minimum of £175 for this charity which is why I have turned to you lot for help!!!
The walk will leave from Harewood House and see me taking on the countryside with hills, boggy bits, streams, stiles, climbing, possibly falling and sneezing away with all the pollen that will be around at that time of year. I will be training very hard in the coming weeks to make sure I am fully prepared for this event so that I can ensure I complete the full course ... and those that know me well know that I even drive to the Co Op which is only half a mile away!
So, please please help me reach my target and donate some cash to motivate me but ultimately to provide much needed funds to this charity that helps sufferers and their families through Breast Cancer.
