Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving Page.
I have grown up watching my Dad and others take part in the Sutton Fun Run and I have always been an enthusiastic supporter, normally from the pub with an ice cold pint of cider in my hand!
Last year I completed this run and vowed to never do it again, the pub is far more comfortable! I have never claimed to be a runner, however, I have signed myself up to do the 'Fun' Run again and to help me I have enlisted as many colleagues, friends and family members as I could to have 'fun' with me!! All donations are going to Good Hope Hospital Charity in particular we are aiming to raise lots of money for our Oncology Day Unit at Good Hope. Improving the environment for patients receiving Chemotherapy and supportive treatments. Running for this fantastic cause will hopefully motivated us all to keep going when training gets tough, just putting one foot in front of the other!
Having worked as a chemotherapy nurse, at Good Hope Hospital, I see the day to day struggles patients with cancer face. However, I am also fortunate to see patients winning their individual battles with cancer. I am honoured and proud to play a part in their treatment and care. I would like to be able to contribute something more to make them more comfortable throughout their journey.
If you could help support #TeamChemo run the Great Midlands Fun Run your donations will encourage us to just keep running! Thank you.
