Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

60at60

In May 2013 I will be sixty years old and, a year before, I decided to try to mark the occasion with a better than 60min completion of a 10km race. I began training in April 2012 and immediately lost 6 months to achilles damage due to over enthusiastic beginings and ignoring my age. Not until December was I free of pain enough to commit to requesting sponsorship for this charity.

St Ann's Hospice provide remarkable care and comfort for those in their last days and their families and friends. Though this page is dedicated to my Mum, Margaret, I also remember Sheila Waddington, a classmate at primary school who I had just got to know again when she became ill in 2012 and spent her final days in St Ann's care.

Keep up to date with my progress at my blog here 60m60y .
