On 8th July I will be cycling the route of Stage 8 of this years Tour de France, starting from Lourdes and riding 148km to Bagneres du Luchon via the iconic mountain roads of the Col du Tourmalet (peaking at 2115m), the Hourquette d'Ancizan (1564m),  Col de Val Louron-Azet (1580m), and finally the Col de Peyresourde (1569m).

A team of 39 other riders will be tackling the route at the same time, each in support of their chosen charities

I have chosen to support MND Scotland as MND has impacted my family in the recent past and is currently affecting the family of one of my close friends.
