Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

We've joined together to raised money for charity. You'll see our team fundraising target on the team page. Your donation can really help us smash this goal

Colleagues from Motors.co.uk will get on their bikes this summer to support a charity close to home for local man, Gary England, who lives in Wantage.

Garry Hobson, Chris Masters, Dave Farmer, Ollie Sanderson, Mark Hammond, Rob Johnson and Jared Jedynowicz, along with support driver Aaron Fenwick and 3 of Ollies firends; Paul Glasgow, Paul Gagg and Phil Marsh, will join Gary for the challenging 'Way of the Roses' coast-to-coast cycle ride, covering over 170 miles from Morecambe on the west coast of England to Bridlington on the east coast. Over the course of the three day journey, the group will pass through Lancaster, the Yorkshire Dales and the city of York.

Gary England commented: "It's going to be a massive challenge for all of us - we're not exactly seasoned riders and some of the group have even had to buy a bike specifically to take part in the ride!"

The group's chosen charity is The Sequal Trust, who raise money for the funding of communication equipment for the severely disabled across the whole of the UK. The charity aims to provide relief to children and adults who depend on electronic communication aids and adaptations to allow them to communicate more easily. Membership of the trust is open to all ages and anyone with speech, movement or learning difficulties.

Gary England continued: "I've had first hand experience of help from The Sequal Trust, as last year, they part-funded a communication aid for my daughter Tamsin. The device has opened up a whole new world for her and she can now independently partake in every day conversation, voice her opinion freely, use it for homework, play games and send emails. She also now has control of her own music collection and can listen to what she wants to, when she wants to. It's been fantastic."
