Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We are looking to help raise money for Balls To Cancer, a fantastic charity. I know I speak for so many men when I say that cancer is something we all try not to think about. The startling reality however, cancer is likely to affect every one of us at some point in our lives whether it be our selves or someone close to us.

For example, did you know:

  • Over 200,000 men are affected by cancer in the UK every year?
  • Prostate cancer is now the most common cancer in men and kills one man every hour!
  • Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in men aged between 15 and 44!

Balls To Cancer dedicate their time to raising awareness of male cancer and fund research in new treatments to ultimately help save lives.

Me and the djtechdirect.com guys along with our friends at The Rainbow Venues in Birmingham decided that as this is such an important cause that we would try and do a little something different to not only raise money and awareness of such a worthy cause, but also offer the vast community of DJ?s both pro and up and coming to all get together and have fun in the process.

We don?t do anything by halves so rather than just open the doors of the Courtyard to a ?open deck session? we have gone to a whole other level and got in touch with the guys at Guinness World Records and arranged to attempt to break the record for ?The Worlds Longest Club DJ Session Relay?.

We are throwing the doors open to anyone who can mix one tune into another to come and take part in this attempt and get to play in one of the UKs most prestigious venues. All that we ask is for them to make a donation of whatever they can spare to Balls To Cancer, bring down their friends and family and enjoy a summer Saturday all day party and rub shoulders with some big name industry folk from DJs to some of the guys behind some of the worlds leading brands such as Pioneer, Denon, Numark and many more.

If you want to get in on the action just make a donation on our JustGiving page and then head over to djtechdirect.com/ballstocancer to register for info on what you need to do get in the mix on the 3 of August at The Rainbow.

If you are not a DJ but ant to come down anyway you are more than welcome.
