Story
My name is Johnny Cullen and I write about games for a living. I've written for the likes of Eurogamer, VG247, Official PlayStation Magazine UK, Official Xbox Magazine UK and Polygon, to name a few.
Last year, I went and did a 24-hour livestream for charity in the name of GamesAid with The Last of Us, my favourite game ever, which was a massively exhausting but fantastic experience in helping to raise money for charity.
Now I don't intend to do one single 24-hour livestream in 2015. I intend to do three. And here is the first.
On Saturday, February 21, I intend to play one of my favourite games ever, Grand Theft Auto IV, to completion (plus part - or maybe even all -of its DLC). It's a game that, for my money, changed how Rockstar told its stories in its game as more grounded and more mature, not just in GTA, but future Rockstar titles.
You can find more details on the livestream here:
I'm doing all of this as part of GameBlast 2015 for SpecialEffect.
SpecialEffect help people with disabilities to play video games. By using technology ranging from modified games controllers to eye-control, they’re finding a way for people to play to the very best of their abilities. But they’re not just doing it for fun. By levelling the playing field, they’re bringing families and friends together and having a massively positive impact on inclusion, confidence and rehabilitation.
