Story
On September 13th and 14th, I'll be walking 100km from London Bridge to Henley with colleagues and friends from Blue Rubicon to raise money for Rainbow Trust, a charity providing emotional and practical support to families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness.
Sponsoring me as little or as much as you like will make a huge difference to families who are going through often unimaginable heartache:
- £9 will give a child with special needs the time to
play with a sensory touch toy and have fun.
- £10 will pay for a Family Support Worker to visit a sick
child in hospital giving an exhausted mum and devoted dad some time to
themselves.
- £18 will give brothers and sisters valuable time with a
Family Support Worker to help them talk through their worries and anxieties.
- £25 will help run one of our new drop-in centres, giving
families time together so they can talk openly and support each other through
their children’s illnesses.
- £30 will give a dying child the time to create memory boxes
of cherished keepsakes for family and friends.
- £50 will pay for a Family Support Worker to give families
time together away from the exhausting hospital check-ups and tests.
- £100 will help give 24 hour support to a family whose child
is receiving palliative care
