I am proud to be part of Lol's Army and I will be completing the London to Brighton 100km hike in her memory.

Lol's Army are raising much needed funds for Macmillan as it was the support from the Macmillan nurse that helped my friend and his family through something I don't know how to put into words.

The hike itself will take about 24 hours - 8 hours of which will see walking through the night as we head towards the seaside!

Apparently it is 125,000 steps - but I won't be looking to keep count - I will however be at my friend's side to ensure that he completes this challenge.

You see when a friend reaches out to tell you what Macmillan did for him and his family - you pull on your boots and ask what you can do for them.
