Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.
In September 2014 I took part to the Big Bike Ride Across Britain from Land's End (far west Cornwall) to John O'Groats (far north Scotland), around 1000 miles (1600 km) in 9 days.

It's been long and hard, but thanks to my team mates, and in particular Luca/Gino B. and Arne/Eddi M., it's been a tremendous achievement for us and a great opportunity to support a good cause: with your help we can help 40,000 children in Lesotho fighting AIDS. Many friends and relatives have already and very generously supported the cause, which helped me reach and overcome the target I was given (£3,000), so that I felt obliged to raise the bar up (it's now £5,000)!
Lesotho has one of the world's highest rates of HIV/AIDS and 90% of HIV+ children die before their fifth birthday and a third will not see their first. The funds raised will be used to get the children to the hospital for the antiretroviral treatment (ARVs). It seems unbelievable in 2014 but one of the major problems for these people is to afford the transport costs to go to the hospital. The transport tickets will be paid via mPesa service provided by Vodafone.
