Fran was diagnosed with bowel cancer in October, sadly the cancer spread into her liver and so complicated her treatment. We were given some small hope, but she tragically died in the early hours of Boxing Day. 

The Royal Marsden has been there for Fran throughout her life as this was her second battle with cancer. It was due to the innovation and support of the Marsden that Franny had 17 more years with us - during which she lived a full and meaningful life - and importantly, was likely when she met most of you! 

It is only fitting that we try to help the Marsden continue their fight against cancer so that they can also give people the opportunity to experience a life which otherwise may so cruelly be taken away.
