Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I entered the London Marathon ballot back in 2018 and was first time lucky (that never happens to me!). I've rolled over my place due to injury and COVID, and this is it now! 

In order to spur me on and give me a reason to train, and to brave my massive anxieties about large crowds and London itself, I've chosen to use my lucky ballot place to raise money for Alzheimer's Research UK.  Unfortunately I've seen first hand the effects this disease can have on family; both the sufferer and the wider network, and I want to do my bit to help fund vital research to help understand, diagnose, reduce risk and develop treatments for people living with dementia. 

The link below has lots of stats, and to be honest, they scare me. No-one wants to see people suffering, so if you can, please help by donating. I'm going to need to draw on this support when I'm out on that course!
