This year I'm doing something different for the Macmillan Cancer Support World's Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday 27th September 2013.

I'm going to give a 'Coffee Concert' at home, a short piano recital on my antique Bechstein grand piano, featuring music by Bach, Cage, Debussy, Liszt, Chopin and Rachmaninov. Guests can enjoy piano music with coffee and homemade cakes. All money raised will go to fund more of Macmillan Cancer Support's vital services and will help change lives. For example, just £22 will fund a Macmillan family support worker for an hour, while £153 will run a CancerLine for an hour, providing on average 13 people affected by cancer with essential information, practical and emotional support.

A number of close friends of mine have suffered from cancer in the last few years. All have benefited from the services provided by Macmillan Cancer Care.
