Fundraising for PROSTATE CANCER UK
In celebration of Fortel's 20th Anniversary and we have organised the Pool and Darts match on 1st September at Chestnut Bar & Grill in Derby to raise the awareness and in aid of
PROSTATE CANCER
It is the most common cancer in men in the UK. It usually develops slowly, so there may be no signs for many years.
The top cancer killer in the UK is lung cancer, which claimed 35,486
lives in 2015, followed by colorectal cancer, with a toll of 16,067 people.
However, new figures reveal that 11,819 men died in the UK from prostate cancer in 2015, overtaking breast cancer, which resulted in the deaths of 11,442 women. (Angela Culhane, chief executive of the charity Prostate Cancer UK which collated the figures.)
Symptoms of prostate cancer
Symptoms of prostate cancer do not usually appear until the prostate is
large enough to affect the tube that carries urine from the bladder out of the penis (urethra).
Why does prostate cancer happen?
