Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Message from Katie:
First and foremost I would like to thank one of my closest friends in the world for setting this page up for Kirsty. I cannot thank you enough Sian, we massively appreciate your help :) xxx
As some of you may know, my younger sister Kirsty Grainger was involved in a serious motorbike accident on 24th April 2012. She was rescued by the Air Ambulance and thanks to them her life was saved. Apart from suffering from several broken bones all over her body, and internal bleeding, Kirsty also broke her back in the accident and is now paralysed but his does not change the person that she is and she is as strong and positive as ever and is definitely as cheeky as ever! :). She is an inspiration to everyone who knows her and means the absolute world to me and my family. She is the youngest of 5 daughters so we have all always treated her as the baby of the family so we cannot bare to think of her getting hurt. When we were faced with the possibility of losing her, I cannot explain the pain and devestating feeling that we had; it was the worst day of my entire life and I am sure that the same would be said by my parents and sisters. I truly believe that without the Air Ambulance, we would not have my beautiful sister with us anymore. We cannot thank them enough and massively appreciate any donations that any of you can make to them. The Air Ambulance rely solely on donations from the public so please support them in continuing to rescue our friends and loved ones. Their work is invaluable and you never know, one day you may need them.
Kirsty is horse mad so in honour of this cause, me, my friend Sian and anyone else who would like to join us will be doing a sponsored hack on Christmas Eve (AM) to raise money for the Air Ambulance. We will be going dressed as Santas so if you're in the Spilsby/Hundleby area, keep an eye out for us! We will be hard to miss! :) xxxx
