Story
I first saw Willow on an adoption website in September 2015. She looked so beautiful but so sad, sat in a cat bed, with her one eye, looking lonely. I knew straight away that she was the cat for me.
In the seven years since, we have been inseparable. Willow has slept on my pillow, curled up with me on the sofa, supervised me while I gardened, and joined me for work video calls. She was sweet, affectionate, a bit sassy and extremely lovable.
On 22nd December, Willow had a suspected heart attack. I found her lying on her favourite blanket, on her favourite chair. I rushed her to the vet but it was too late.
There is so much I could say about this very special girl - if you want to know more about her and our story, a few months ago I wrote about her for this blog: https://adventuresofsargeandbenny.com/2022/05/11/the-story-of-fluffy-willow/#more-426
Suffice to say, she was so, so loved. By me, by everyone who met her, and by people all over the world who followed her life updates on Twitter. It truly was my honour and privilege to share her with so many people. I've set up this page in her memory for anyone who might want to remember her and make a donation to support more rescue cats like her to find their forever homes.
Goodbye Willow. I'll love you forever.
