We fund bone cancer research & grant wishes to seriously ill people #makingmemories

Story

The Wobbleberries Challenge………

Is a challenge for inexperienced riders to compete in a BE80 1 day event by Autumn 2017 to raise money for the wonderful Willberry Wonder Pony Inspired by Hannah Francis. (For the un-horsey among us a BE80 is a one day event that includes 3 disciplines; Dressage, Cross Country & Show jumping over jumps that are 80cms high). Training and coaching for each discipline will be provided throughout the year leading up to the event itself.

My inspiration Hannah's Story.............

Willberry the wonder pony was bought at last years Badminton Horse Trials as a gift for 17 year old Hannah Francis. The promising young rider had just discovered that she had aggressive bone cancer in her pelvis & right hip joint.

Hannah created a 'wonder pony' who wanted to share his cancer story. Since her osteosarcoma diagnosis on 1st May last year, Hannah wrote a blog of her experiences from the point of view of her cuddly toy, Willberry.

Sadly Hannah lost her battle with cancer in August this year. She was just 18-years-old

Hannah's Willberry Wonder Pony is now a registered charity and all donations will fund bone cancer research & also help towards a new project "Willberry's Wishes"

"Willberry's Wishes" allows seriously ill people like Hannah, not just with cancer, to realise the dream of some kind of horsey experience, just as he granted so many of Hannah's.

Hannah explained "Having a goal to aim for gives you drive and fight and determination when getting up can be a serious struggles because you know that you are fighting a losing battle"

If you have 10 minutes to spare please read Hannah's blog.......you'll be glued I promise! www.willberrywonderpony.org/blog

Please donate all you can to keep the memory of a remarkable and inspirational young lady burning brightly

THANK YOU
